New Origin EON-15 High Performance Laptop

A quick pic from the Origin Production Facility.
This is the PC that I will have with me as I run across the country. Here are some of the details on this baby.
  • 1GB GDDR3 Nvidia Quadro FX 2800M
  • Intel Core i7-940XM (2.13) 8Mb L3 Cache
  • 8GB Dual-Channel DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz
  • 500GB Seagate memnetus Sata Solid State Hybrid Drive
  • A bunch of other stuff.
This is the system I will be running Adobe CS5 on. Despite the features in the desktop replacement the power of CS5 is such that it will push this beast to it's limit's. However it should provide me with some fantastic video's/pictures of my journey across Canada in 2011.
An extra word here about Origin. If you don't know them they are mostly the guys that ran the day to day of Alien Ware before Dell bought out the company. In my previous posts you can see what I was dealing with with Dell.
From my first contact with Origin. I had an immediate feeling of ease. These guys love what they do, they want to make a customer and not a sale. Willing to go the extra mile and have a great understanding of me needs. The kind of people you could say I have x amount of money and you could trust them to build you something within in your needs. I can't say enough about the customer service. Is the PC expensive. I don't know. I new what I wanted, and how much money I had. I told them my needs and this is the what they suggested.
When you call them, you get a person. Quite a shock. I don't want to be half way across the company and have an issue on my PC. They will do whatever they can to make sure it works and fix it fast. Totally comfortable and not hesitant in recommending these guys. Check em out. http://www.originpc.com/
As I was typing this blog entry I got an email from Origin that PC was shipped today!!
