The ER floor is a funky place. I do not recommend being a customer, but a visit is just fine. When I first was gaining consciousness, and my memory was coming back, I had some interesting moments. I had a full time guard who sat beside me to make sure I didn't lean on my exposed brain, or scratch it (have fun with hospital staff, touch your exposed brain) I remember that baby steps were the name of the day for me. Constant tests to see if I remembered my name, where I was. With my short term memory not available, I had some memorable times. I remember how every day things became huge accomplishments. Things like remembering schedules, when the food comes, when the pain pills come, when my people skills doctor came, became the stuff schedules were made of. Tryng to change positions being on my back for about 20 days strait.
I remember getting so excited about having my IV taken out. I could pee
